Yesterday I decided that this had been sitting in my "Foldas" folder for too long. I Needed to get it out of my sight so I can start on more substantial projects.
It was super ugly before, so I tweaked it a bit last night; I replaced the awful turquoise background with a more subtle colour to make the focus pop out, Removed the colour of the flower (same shade as the bgrd), and added yellow pollen dots. I personally don't like how the styles slightly clash- the flower is a bit more realistic than the rest of the drawing- but in general I think it looks okay... I guess..
I kind of like that the flower only has a silhouette, The original turquoise colour bleeds out into the background (figuratively)
Oh, and it's a forget-me-not btw (one of my fav flora)
I have had a thing for flowers ever since I went to Butchart Gardens last summer, but everything I touch wilts... *sigh*
